As everyone filed out of the theatre after the first Stage Magic Gala many headed straight to their hotels so they could get up early to try and get a seat for the Stage Competition tomorrow morning at 8.30am, while others headed downstairs to the Food Court area for the first Magic Salon night.
The Magic Salon was a big success in Den Haag, and the FISM China version of it ran along similar grounds.
Most of the Food Court was open and registrants were really taking advantage of that, plus you could sit down in the Food Court and enjoy a live Cuban band who really pumped out some great, high energy music.
But the majority of registrants had come to see some magical from Salon entertainers Juan Tamariz, David Williamson and Lennart Green.
Juan Tamariz was in one room, which was closed after a certain number of people went inside. After that, a huge line formed and I assume Juan did several shows that night.
Lennart Green and David Williamson were in another huge room which also doubled as seating for those eating. I joked with David asking if he was going table to table, but even before they started performing they were surrounded by so many people there was no way anyone else could see them.
In the end most of us ended up socialising or just going to bed. After all, we’ll see those three performing in the Close Up Gala tomorrow night... in the intimate two and a half thousand seat theatre....
