Entertaining the troops

I just got back from Canberra where I entertained at the Royal Military College, Duntroon.
They put me up in the Officer's Mess and I stayed in the Commandant's suite.
It was their annual Sportsman's Ball and it was quite an amazing experience. 500 trainee military cadets and officers having a huge party and I was asked to perform close up magic throughout the evening. The three hour booking stretched out to four and a half hours as I tried to get around to all 50 tables.
It was hard work but a lot of fun as the audience really got into the magic. At one point I was doing a spoon bend at a table and I looked around to see about 50 or 60 people gathered around watching - and some of the reactions I was getting made me feel like David Blaine!
